The ITCR-L is responsible for the operation and further development of clinical research IT infrastructure on the Campus Lübeck, furthermore consulting, support and training of clinical researchers.

The Medical Research is based primarily on the conduct of clinical trials. For various reasons, the requirements for clinical trials and hence the complexity. Against this background, a high-quality research is based on a powerful, integrated and secure IT infrastructure. At the University of Lübeck, the device "IT for Clinical Research" (ITCR) is responsible to provide such infrastructure for those medical Researchers.

In close collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Center for Biobanking- Lübeck (ICB-L) and in cooperation with the UKSH ITSG a commercial biobank and study management system was established. In addition to the internal search functionalities of the software, for external users the ICB-L query tool based on double pseudonymised patient data was established to gain the possibility to recruit cohorts and samples collectives for specific research projects. Our biobank and study management system also allows export, respectively linkage to other biobanks and / or databases.
